How Do I easily add page numbers to all the pages in my document...?
Do I really have to manually create a textbox and put a number in it or add a text variable to each and every page? Is't there like some kind of one button push like microsoft word has?

Go to the master page. This is where you can place everything you need to appear on each page.

Place your text box where you want the page number to go. Then when typing press CTRL 3 or on the mac press CMD 3 and you will see a letter show up, it's probably the letter A because that's the Master Page you're on.

When you go to your document pages you will see that all the numbers are sequential for the page numbers.

NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN i PRESS CTRL 3... i CAN'T find a text variable which says "page number"... :(

Make sure your text insertion point is in the text box.

You're not looking for a variable, that's different

In CS3
Type>Insert Special Character>Markers>Current Page number

In CS2
Type>Insert Special Character>Auto Page number

This is covered in the Help Menu.
