i have a textobject in groupfooter2b there i need a page break to display textobject in newpage. i have given condition in groupfooter2b as newpageafter but iam getting pageheader repetation. i dont want pageheader in secondpage.
any help...

Try this....in the suppress formula of the page header put something like:

{table.group2field} <> next({table.group2field})

-Dell

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

group2 field is formula field.
its giveing error like, this field as no previous or next value.

What is the content of your group#2 formula? If you can group on it, then it shouldn't result in this error. You are using the formula itself, not the groupname, in the suppression formula, aren't you? Also, I think I would use:

{@group2formula} = previous({@group2formula})

... for the page header suppression.

GroupName ({@student name}) = previous(GroupName ({@student name}))
i was placed this in pageheader suppression

its giveing error like, this field as no previous or next value.

I never use groupname in any formula. Change your suppression formula to:

{@student name} = previous({@student name})

This will work the way you want if you always want the page header only on the first page of a new group instance.

if put above formula in pageheader suppression, iam not getting pageheader in any page.

Do not add the check mark for suppression, just add the formula.
