Page Formatting for Crosstabs

I am using Crystal Reports 2008.
I have a Crystal Report that contains several crosstabs.
The data is being cut off when the data goes beyond the page formatted size of 8.5" x 11" ( landscape).

I would like the data that is produced from my crosstabs to move to the next page without the format being changed and the data alignment becoming messed up/overlapping.

Crosstabs are simple to create because they work in a standard manner. This includes putting extra columns on a new page. I don't think you can stop it doing this.

You can adjust column width, or swap columns and rows if that would help. Or use a formula field to group some of the column values.

Or you could do a Mock-Crosstab - use SEARCH if you don't already know about them. This gives you more control and you might fit the output on one page by having each line of values on two different rows or detail lines, fitting more in.

What did you mean about this suggestion:

I was not clear what you are referring to.


I am looking into wrapping the crosstab.
I have come across some examples of this online. I still did not get it to work yet. I'm still working at it.

Look at the top of the page. It should show [Forum]. The next tab says [Search] and can be used to search for answers that might exist in older threads.

It is hard to tell what is going on because you aren't showing the actual Crystal Report so that we can identify sections. You might want to try placing the crosstabs in their own sections, and make sure the sections and the crosstab are formatted to "keep together".

You might also want to check the "relative positions" box for the section containing the crosstab, so that as one resizes, the other is not overlapped.

If you are saying that some data is not visible to the right, it suggests you are creating the crosstab in a subreport. There is a technique to fix this. Another alternative is to insert a group on a subset of the column field instances so that the number of columns in limited, and then place the crosstab in this new group section. But this means row summaries are limited to the smaller group of columns.

I think you need to explain more for additional help.
