If I open Internet Explorer then it opens fine (start page is about:blank). When I type in a website address the site appears really quickly, but then Internet Explorer sits there, with the progress bar full for about a minute before it starts responding again. Once thats happened I can go to other sites perfectly fine.
The system is an AMD Athlon 600, 128Mb RAM, Windows 98 connected via a 128k broadband line (NTL cable). The link is fine and the speed is fine - its just Internet Explorer being strange.
Any ideas other than reformatting the PC which I am going to try if it isnt something simple?
Thanks,
Alex Brett
