Option 81, 4.5. I have a hospital where twice a week, someone misdials the paging access code, and we all here them send DTMF. Even had some self-professed carolers at Christmas.

Is there a way through RDB programming or whatever to put a Page Override button on a M2250 or M2616?

Thanks

do not know of one..of course you can disable the trunk from the screen.. i program my page access as a cot or wat so i can set a tfd timer.. disables the page trunk after 90 seconds... i also use tgar/targ to block guest phones from the overhead.. only 50 stations out of 7000+ can dial the acod.. you can change the acod and stop unwanted access temp.. ours is 7 digits

Thanks JP, I know I can't change access codes w/o mega approval. So, my best bet is to disable the trunk. Then reenable. Correct?

Isn't the Break In (BKI) Key of M2250 gives the ability to freed the trunk?

Breakin Key is to Breakin on a phone not a trunk.

You don't need to change the Access code just use TARG/TGAR to block users from accessing it as JP said.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

another sure fire fix is to put a password on the overhead.. you can use a voice mail app to require a pwd prior to accessing the overhead... if they will not allow acod change then i would do an enhanced trac on the page trunk, catch the idiot and break his fingers, that usually works.

Jeff,

Aside from breaking someone's fingers as JP suggests (hehehe) who all uses the page ACOD there? If it's just programmed on the consoles as a button (IE speed dial key) then changing the ACOD wouldn't hurt much - just ask.

I know the TGAR/TARG set-up there is kinda weird; but we can look at it if you need and see if we can modify it, that's a good way to take care of it.

You've got like 20 paging zones, don't you... ~MH~

Thanks Matt, I've always appreciated JP's advice, even with the hint of violence. I would have thought, the big switches could pull this off. Adapt and win.
