I have a problem with a G3csi where outbound calls couldn't be made. I also couldn't access the switch through ASA although I could Telnet into it. I did a system reset 4 and this fixed the outbound calling problem and restored ASA access, but I keep getting PKT Bus errors, type 1793 and 1 on PN 01. The errors are persistent, the count is around 124/minute on the 1793 type, although inbound/outbound calling is fine. I then replaced the TN799DP board and "dongle" that attaches to the amphenol connector in back of the slot, but this did not stop the packet bus errors.

Any ideas about what could be causing this? The processor?

Within the last minute, packet circuit packs have reported errors that indicate a possible packet bus failure. The Aux Data value is 1 or 2, indicating that only one or more than one Packet circuit pack (respectively) have reported a possible packet bus failure.

1793 - Packet circuit packs have detected possible packet bus failures via in-line error or via background test failure. Examine the Error and Alarm logs for more specific PKT-BUS errors.
