I've written a program in Visual Basic and created the .exe file.

I package it and send it to a friend and it installs with no error messages.

When he tries to run it he gets error messages saying there are components missing (it names the first one it found).

Seems as if there are Visual Basic DLLs etc. required for my program to run, which are not getting packaged with it.

How do I find out what all the routines my program requires are and get them packaged with my program?

Try doing a search for "package and deployment" on this thread. That should return enough to find everything you need.

Try downloading Visual Studio Installer 2.0 from Microsoft and using this to package your app. Works great for me !!!

Is there a Visual Installer 2.0 out now??
Or do you mean WinInstaller 2.0 ?

Sorry CCLINT !!!

Slip of the Hand !!

Visual Studio Installer 1.1
