P630 HMC question

I know this is a basic question but I can't find the answer. I want to know what your suppose to use for a console in a HMC system.

Right-click on the system name/serial number and choose open terminal.

If you still want a hardware console, there should be serial port on the system itself.

The Netfinity PC, Linux OS and the WebSM code that IBM provides for the HMC has been customized, integrated and tested to provide the HMC functions.

This is the only supported configuration.

There is also a passthrough telnet port on the HMC that allows you to telnet to that port with a script to do a remote console. See the appendix to the HMC users/admin guide
