P3 Scheduling Conflicts

So I set up a schedule with all Logic tied in and everything. I have the Data date for the beginning of the project. Which is 8/13/07. I want to move the Data Line to todays date (10.22.07) to show all progress up to today. Now having this problem before, I copied all activites into a "Test Project" with everything the same.

When I move the Data line to todays date, EVERYTHING CHANGES when I schedule to todays date. Is there something im doing wrong? This is driving me CRAZY!! Please help. If you want you can even call me.

You are doing nothing wrong.
That is exactly what it is suppose to do.
When you move the data line to a further date than what you had worked on, it schedules the whole thing. It will move all the dates of the activities which were suppose to be started before but have not started till data date and it will show the data date as the current activities date.
If you want to see how much you slipped you will have to save it as baseline.
