Using Crystal Reports 7.0. Maintenance Release 1 has been installed.

Trying to use a direct access connection to a SQL 7.0 database. When I open the report for editing, I get an initial error message which states "p2ssql.dll cannot be found. Open report for viewing only?" I click yes.

p2ssql.dll DOES EXIST in my sys32 fodler.

In the report, when I try to refresh the report, I get a "physical database cannot be found" error. When I try to Set Location, I get the same error. I can change the connection to an ODBC connection, and everything works fine. But this is not an option for me.

I assume I am missing a dll, but since p2ssql does exist on my machine, I don't know which dll. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tony

Tonyvit:

Perform an advanced search on the string "p2ssql.dll". There are some solutions in Tek-Tips there that may help you to determine the missing DLL.

Thanks Keyser,

But the issues in the other threads involved actually WERE missing the p2ssql.dll.

I am NOT MISSING p2ssql.dll. It resides in my system32 folder.
