Has anybody been working with Radiant P1520 POS Hardware, 512MB RAM and 1GB SSD drives?

I need to upgrade several machines to Win 8.1 but I want to know what kind of pain I am getting myself into in terms of RAM upgrades (I have all types of RAM sitting around). I know I need at least 1GB RAM each if they are to run Win 8.1, and the hard drive should be at least 40GB as well. They run just fine on XP but in terms of PCI compliance I don't dare take any chances, as this is a brand new install that doesn't need to be touched for quite some time. Also I would like to impose the same restrictions on the UI/all users except Administrator once under Windows 8.1 and working properly with touch, serial, ethernet, etc.

Any good hard drive images out there to load Win 8.1RT on with all drivers support on a P1520? 3M USB Touchscreen is my biggest fear but I'm sure it's been handled.

I'm going to go look for some DDR-2 now... :)

What POS are you going to be putting on them once your done.
I have installed Win7 embedded on a P1520, have not tried with 8.1 Drivers were not that hard to find

Accupos (already purchased)

I guess I'm looking for Win 7 embedded instead, unless there is an embedded flavor of Win 8/8.1

Need the NCR 1GB image for P1520 with Win 7 embedded and drivers where I can just enter my license key for each station and be up and running.

might be tough to get pos 7 on your 1gb ssd drive. pos 7 takes up like 3 gigs of hdd space.
