P.E. Power Supply 3

I have a spare P.E. power supply and I've been task to check it out to see if it's operational. I have a CS1000M Rel 4.5 and the only way I know how to check it out is the power down a shelf and install the spare power supply. Should I disable each card or just disable the whole shelf.

This system has been running good for over 5 years and I'm a firm believer if it works don't fix it????? Put people in the high chairs thinks otherwise.

I swear most of the time when you power off the shelf with the power supply switch the power supply alot of times does not come back to life in older system. Maybe its just my bad luck

I would disable each card. pwr shelf down by breakers not powr supply

Thanks bhassell2000 and bigindian65 for your info and will keep you inform as to what happens.....got an email this morning to hold off on checking power supply. I know that they will have me check it but went???????????
