I am trying to connect an IP Softphne through Checkpoint VPN server.
PM signs on OK & will attempt to settup the call but we are only getting one way speach.

connecting diurect on the lan works without problem.

has anybody any tips on what may be causing this problem & possible solutions?

play with the allow direct media path settings on the ip line and Voip ext

IP line should be checked

Voip it should be unchecked

at least its working that way on my two systems

I had the same problem with my 406 with 2 modules. Found that anything plugged into second mod would only pass voice one way. Had to upgrade to latest release software. Everything works good now.

my mistake

it was with the ds30 modules. we have 44XX phones and had that kind of problem.

How is your Checkpoint VPN setup?

Office mode or you have a dhcp server assigning a ip address.

A very good question, I do not know for certain as it is a customers setup.
I would guess that it is in office mode because the IPO is seing the remote useres Local IP address & not an assigned address on the customers main network.

Avaya have currently recomend we upgrade to V3.0(69) or V3.1(48) ad V3.0(59) has a large number of VoIP bugs.
If this dosnt fix things I will be back
