Here is the problem. A user was infected with some malware and was having problems. I ran many many different malware/antivirus programs and cleaned up alot. One problem that lingered was her OWA page would not open. It would allow her to log in but then got the "page cannot be displayed. I started running the Windows MRT program and then noticed that besides IE she also had Mozilla and Safari installed. I uninstalled both of these and then noticed that MRT had found an infection. I went ahead and stopped the scan and rebooted. OWA would then come up fine. Problem is now..when she goes to reply to someone her name is entered in the TO field and she is getting this error message at the top: "One or more errors occurred while loading message. Error: (0x80090326): The message received was unexpected or badly formatted." Anyone seen this before. I have loaded IE7. I am either going to unistall IE7 and then remove and reinstall IE6 or wipe the pc. If there is a simple answer I would rather go that route.

A few thoughts: Have you flushed the browser cache and cookies? Have you had her try OWA from a different computer and does it work okay there? If so, have you tried creating a new profile on her computer to see if that works? I, personally, don't put a lot of stock in Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool (maybe others feel differently). Have you tried scanning the computer with any other utilities, like MalwareBytes? Are there any System Restore Points available which would have been created before the infection (assuming those are not also infected)?

The exact phrase "One or more errors occurred while loading message" gets zero hits on Google.

Are you sure that is the exact message?

Just a shot in the dark, but you can try reinstalling the S/MIME Control. Open OWA, go to Options, and scroll down to the Download button, where it says "Click here to install the latest version of the S/MIME Control.

Luckily the user's pc had system recovery on it. i used it and everything is working. To answer a few of the questions above. I used many utilities to find infection not just MRT. I used Malwarebytes, SuperAnti...., Highjackthis, Spyhunter(we have license for it), AVG. I did a system restore but did not fix the problem. I did look at S/MIME but did not run it. I finally just Recovered it just to get it fixed. The user was very patient, but it was interrupting her work. I wish I would have triedthe S/MIME just to seewhat happened. BAsically time ran out on me. Thnx for thequestions and help.
