Accessing OWA is really slow. But only for some users. It takes almost 5-6 minutes to retrieve the content and then for every action it takes 5-6 minutes again. Anyone have any ideas?

Anything showing up in the logs? If YOU log in as that user, do you experience the problem? Does the problem go away if the user tries from another workstation? Is the workstation full updated with updates?

Yes, all users experience the same problem. Really slow. Maybe 5-10 mins to load the page. Yes, the machine is fully patched. Cleared the cache and history and everything else.

Just found out some more info:
I installed Firefox on the same computer and there it didn't take that long time. Works like it should work.

Any funky GPOs handling IE configurations? Any wierd proxy stuff? Is this for internal staff or people outside your environment?

No GPO's, no specific IE configs, no proxies either. Tried resetting all IE values to their default also. It's for internal staff.

I am having the same kind of problems with IE and with mozilla the things work fine. For myself I think it has got something to do with the Linux reverse proxy that we have between firewall and front end exchange. IE is a rich client and other browsers are reach clients and I found that some reverse proxies are not fully comfortable with the advanced verbs that rich clients use and make the process slow. So in my view if you also have a reverse proxy or something that might be the cause of the problem.

I don't have a proxy at all. Although the firewall is a pix but it's not tightened at all. Just blocks incoming traffic.

I've tried another OWA installation on another site which is working good in IE and Firefox.

I can't see anything that makes sense in this.
