We have an exchange2000 server handling our mail with no problems from inside our lan. When our users try to access using owa they can log in but show no messages in their inbox and nothing under their "Folders" tab. Any help would be appreciated.

So they get into OWA but it doesn't show any mail? That is crazy I haven't seen it yet. Usually it is just broke. Are all the icons missing? URLScan can cause something similar. You installed the Security Toolkit? Dan

yes all the icons are missing under the folders tab, no we aren't useing urlscan and haven't installed securetools, what do you suggest

What browser and version are you using? Are you using netscape?

Have you checked the event logs of the exchange server? Is your firewall doing any kind of filtering perhaps?

does it show all the pictures as just red x's. and just say loading in the message area?

I came across the same problem once, I changed authentication methods and the problem disappeared, it has something to do with permissions, I'm not sure about this

Useing ie 5.5, no netscape.
Nothing really notatble in the event logs.
Firewall was wide open for testing.

It shows no red x's or loading messages, shows an empty window.

Permisions shouldn't be it because had been working until last week and their was no permission changes at that time.
Thanks for all the input though.

Seth

does it work when you contact OWA localy on the server? Can you contact from outside another website created on your server,

check default gateways: maybe the exchange server cannot find the way back to the internet (route print, tracert commands)

Bart

You may want to try updating the clients to IE 5.5 SP2.

You also may want to go to SP2 for E2K if you haven't already. It does wonders.

Antivirus scanning the Exchsrvr folders will cause a blank screen from OWA. M is also excluded right? Dan
