Hi,
Since converting to a T1 line, users are unable to login to OWA. It is asking for username and password, which it never did before. The only profile that works for this request, is that of the administrator.
I have been digging around for a week, trying to find the configuration place for this, but no go.
The users are set up for authentication in the Exchange virtual directory.
The OS is Small Business Server 2000.

Open your Internet Server Manager console. Right-click on the OWA server and select 'Properties'. Select the 'Directory Security' tab, and click on the top edit button. Click on the edit button for Basic Authentication, and make sure your domain name is properly entered.

I don't know what configuration error allowed your users to connect to OWA without authenticating to your domain, but you just lost a HUGE security hole. Basically, anyone who knew your OWA URL and any of your Exchange account names was able to read that person's email.

I hope I've been of help.

OK, did a little more digging. If the above is already correct, make sure the C:\exchsrvr\Webdata folder permissions are set to give "authenticated users" full control. If this group, or the group 'everyone' does not have permission to access this folder, they would have to use the administrator account to access their e-mail.

That popping sound you heard may have been me pulling my head out of my ...

Mucho Gracias!!
However I do not have a folder under c:\program files\exchsrvr\
called Webdata?!?!

If you do not run IIS on your Exchange server, then you will find this directory on your IIS server.
