Hello,

Is there a way to hide my server name from the address bar when using OWA (IIS question?)?

As is, users are seeing
I want to hide everything after the FQDN.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Yes, just set the Home Directory path for the default site to be the path to the virtual directory for Exchange. That way hitting the FQDN will automatically be directed to the /Exchange folder.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

Thanks for the reply Mark.

I believe that my Home Directory is already setup to do this. My settings are as follows:

Content for resource: A redirection to a URL
Redirect to: /exchange

I also have "A directory below URL entered" checked off.

Is there something I'm missing?

Yes, don't do redirection. It does just that. You need to adjust the starting position as I indicated above. Look at it like a drive mapping. You set the drive letter at a folder and your users never see any of the path information that go them there.

I hope you find this post helpful.

markdmac,

Is this done is IIS? I am trying to follow what you are saying but can not find it. (I would like to do the same thing if possible).

Yes in IIS.

Right click the default web site.

Click the Home Directroy tab.

In the path for the home directory just add a \Exchange to the entry listed there which should be something like C:\Windows\InetPub\
I hope you find this post helpful.
