I am running exchange 2000 on a Win2k Server SP3 that has routing and remote access installed. I have also configured NAT on this box so that my private ip's can get to the internet. NAT is working fine as I can get out to anywhere on the Internet. I can get to OWA from the private network, but cannot get OWA from the outside.

The MX record is correct on the outside DNS, and I can send and receive email. If I point Outlook 2000 to my mail server I can send and receive mail.

Only the web access portion is not working.

I would appreciate any ideas.

Thanks

Sometimes our DNS will not resolve so we have to use the IP address:port/exchange

Try the IP address instead of domain name.

thanks, tried that and it still didnt work.

in RRAS, did you configure port forwarding for port 80 to go to your exchange box?

The RRAS and Exchange are installed on the same machine. One nic is has a static public IP and the other nic has a private ip and is connected to my other machines. Would I need to forward port 80 from the public address to the private address?

i would try that. I don't know what IP your IIS is answering on, so it's worth a shot.
