I am running Exchange 2000 sp3 on Windows 2000 sp4.

I have setup OWA and it works but certain attachments do not show up.

For instance, I have checked emails that contained jpg, txt and pdf attachments and I can view them in OWA but I have received a few emails with excel attachments and can't view or save any of them. The email has a paperclip like it has an attachment but when you open it, there is no file, just <<filename>>.

Any ideas on why attachments only show up sometimes in OWA?

It is a security issue as xls files can contain viruses. Not sure of the fix though - sorry...

I am having the same problems.
Anyone have any ideas?

I just found I have the same problem, but I believe it is with all attachments. I think this happened after I set up SSL on the IIS to enable the Change Password Option in OWA last week. Microsoft Knowledge base soultion to this problem is to apply the latest Exchange 2000 service pack. Although my Exchange is already patched with Service 3, I'll probably re-apply the service pack 3 when I get back to work Monday morning to see if it resolves the problem. Or can I check if this inability to view email with attachment in OWA "normal" if SSL is implemented?
