OWA always using Self Signed SSL

Hi,

I bought an UCC SSL Certificate from Go Daddy, and installed it succesfully.
But the RWW site would not work because the name on my cert is mail.domain.com and not remote.domain.com.

So I ran the Add Trusted Certificate wizard but could only see the remote.domain.com self signed certificate in the available trusted certs window. I clicked it and it updated successfully.

Unfortuantly, now when I go to my OWA it is always using the self signed certificate. I have ran through the Go Daddy instructions to request the certificate again, downloaded it, imported it, and enabled it on IIS service, but OWA still uses the self signed cert.

How can I change OWA to use the Go Daddy Cert instead of the self signed cert?

Thanks in advance

If you're using Exchange 2007 (part of SBS 2008), then I don't think the enabling process on GoDaddy will work. Per Microsoft, certificates are enabled through the Exchange console rather than IIS.

Here's a link to Microsoft's TechNet site that will help:

Hope that helps...

Sorry, yes I am enabling the certificate via the Exchaneg shell.

Enable-exchangecertificate 9thumbprint) service - IIS

But the OWA still uses the self signed cert.

Thanks

If that's the case, I would use the Remove-ExchangeCertificate cmdlet to remove all the certificates, and reinstall your GoDaddy certificate. Just as a precaution, clear your browser cache or use a different browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc) to test. OWA has a different experience on those browsers, but you should be able to test the certificate issue.
