I have just installed Exchange 5.5 on a windows 2000 member server in an NT 4.0 domain.

Exchange is working correctly. But OWA is giving me problems. Here are the details.

From Exchange server:
Administrator can login
I can not (I am in admin group)

From other machines:
Administrator cannot login
I can not login

WHat happens is I type the username and hit enter and immediately get "OWA was unable to get to your inbox."

I do have log on locally permissions for domain users group which I am part of also.

What else could be the problem. Thanks in advance.

After you type the user name on the owa page.. when you get the login/password box try this:

domain/user
password

I do not get that login box. I get the text box on the yellow OWA login screen. Type in name and hit enter then straight to error. No network login dialog.

Check IIS for Authentication settings for the OWA Web site... make you have the ISAPI Filter loaded for exchange the file is called "exchfilt"

Situation resolved. I removed NT Authentication from the exchange web since I will be doing SSL. Now it works fine.
