Hi, we are upgrading Exchange 5.5 to 2003, and I wondered how easy it would be to setup OWA 2003? Is it as easy as setting up OWA 5.5?

Kind regards

Andy

In fact, when you install Exchange 2003, OWA is already installed on that server, because it's an integral part of the system now. If you want to use it in a frontend/backend configuration in a DMZ you need to set up some things yourself. But in 5.5 OWA was a separate component of Exchange, and now you need to install an Exchange-server to use OWA.

cheers,
hanz.

Our OWA server is in the DMZ so how can I install it frontend/backend?

Andy

In E2K it had to be the enterprise version to be a front end server. In E2K3, standard or enterprise can be a front end server. Unless you'll be doing NLB, go with E2K3 standard on the front end and you'll save a $ or two.

Hi,

can I use OWA5.5 to access e2k3 database?
