I have Outlook 2003 clients and Exchange 2007 running 2007 OWA. There is a conflict between the 2 out of office settings. OWA 2007 overides any out of office messages set in Outlook 2003 client out of office settings. Is there any way to force there to be only one message apart from upgrading outlook 2003 clients?

Not that I know of, no.

Because 2007 has split OOF into internal and external but Outlook 2003 does not have the concept, this has been something of a trial since launch but it had to trip some time to allow this functionality to happen.

Options:
Upgrade Outlook to 2007.
Disable Outlook and use OWA instead.

Thank you Zelandakh - I thought the only option was to update to 2007 - do you know if this affects entourage 2008 users as well?

I'm pretty sure Entourage 08 is fine with Ex 07 though if you have those users also using Outlook 03 you'll still run into the same trouble.
