owa 2000 doesn't work

i just installed exchange 2000 in the same site as an exchange 5.5 server. they're coexisting fine but when i try to access outlook web access on the exchange 2000 server (for example)

i type in

http://exchange/exchange

and i get a network logon message box that is prompting me for a logon and password to the site: exchange5.5 and realm (password only) NAV for MS Exchange

i try a couple of times to use valid logons and passwords but i finally get bumped out and then my http url changes to

http://exchange5.5/exchange

and the screen says HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized!

any ideas?

Are the accounts that you are trying to login into on the Exchange 2000 server or the 5.5, because you can only login to accounts existing on the 2000 server with the 2000 OWA. Thank you,

i only moved 1 account over to the new server, the problem is i can't get owa to come up when i attempt to access is through a browser

Do you have a proxy server set for this PC? and is this server setup as a local address in it if you do? If you do, try and turn it off for the testing to see if it works.

This is brilliant. I was wandering from past couple of days, only one of my user and at only one system he is not able to get the OWA.

That is due to the proxy server.

But can you specify the reason, b'coz till two days back everything was fine, same system,same proxy,same user were able to access to the OWA, but suddenly he could not.
