Hi All,

I am trying to make a report for my Manufacturing Director, that will show overtime hours and costs based on a specific machine/department. The problem is that the employees don't always work in their "home" departments. Since the OT is calculated and paid based on the amount > 40, i'm not sure how to do the math.

for example:

If employee #1 works in the Pressroom for 20 hours, then in Finishing for the next 20, and then back in Pressroom for 10 more, he would expect to see for the Pressroom 20 Straight Time + 10 OT and 20 Straight time for FInishing.

Any ideas/ help would be great!

Thanks,
Marty!

I should say too, my real issue is that I cannot seem to Summarize my formula for Overtime. It seems that it is because i am using a Runing total in my formula? Is there an easy way around this?

It sounds the category that OT is assigned to depends upon the order in which the tasks occurred. Please show some sample data that includes employee ID, a datetime field, the category, hours, etc., at the detail level. Also show the resulting summary you would expect to see for the sample data. Also explain in what way you need to summarize overtime--do you mean for the same person for different weeks? Across all employees? Please clarify.
