Overscore?

Hi everyone,
Is there an easy way to put an overscore on a character?
In electronics there is an indicator that requires a line to be placed above a letter.

I am using MS Office Word 2003.

Another field-based solution, that doesn't increase the line height for the line containing the field, is:
