Overnight Logging Out and Slow Logon

I have a customer where I installed a Windows 2003 Server / all Windows XP Stations - and I have two issues:

1) it seems like it takes a long time to log on - applying personal settings hangs for a little while and then logs in. Once you are in everything is fine

2) All stations are generally left on overnight and every night around 9 to 10pm the stations are disconnected from the server.

Any ideas? I have each id set to never disconnect, etc...

Here is a FAQ regarding slow logins to a 2000 domain. It still applies to 2003 server.

In my experience the slow login is attributed to not having
the primary DNS on the XP client set to the domain controller.
