I set up a Ring Group with two members 3279. This ring group is also set up as destination from main greeting as Transfer only from option 4 (mailbox 4). I created a message only mailbox 3278 and set the overflow on the ring group to go here after 15 secs. When option 4 is selected by outside caller the ring group rings a few times and goes back to the main menu? I also put a MWI for mbox 3278 on the 2 members sets. Any ideas on how I can correct this? If I create a nametag hunt group for 3278 and set 1st alternate to vmail will that work?

sound slike you have supervised transfer set and the timer for it is less than the supervised transfer timer.

Either change the timer so the transfer timer is more than the overflow timer or use unsuoervised transfer.

OK I set the overflow mailbox 3278as a Hunt Group Nametag and set the call routing for 3278 to always go to vmail for 3278 so there is no delay. This works nicely but now I cannot put a MWI on the sets and get 'the directory is in use elsewhere msg' when prgramming the key assignment. How do I get around this?

Ring groups are not designed to integrate with VM

MWI's should not be set against Hunt groups

To Achieve your goal.

Create the Nametag HG as *3278 - Same Routing as before.
Route Ring Group to *3278 on no answer
MB 3278 - No Change
Create a Keyline 3278 on any appropriate phone
Create MWI's associated with 3278 on up to 32 phones.
