im no expert at all with computers but i was reading about overclocking so i tried to increase the cpu/frequency speed from 133mhz to 134mhz. it is now running at 1.725ghz instead of 1.666ghz. can this harm or damage any part of the cpu motherboard??? is there anything to worry about. anything else i should be changing with it??? thanks for any help/info

for your overclocking questions..

I would recommend caution. If this is your first attempt, read up, research. Keep your system and all components running cool by any means necessary.

Generally the amount of money/time and effort you expend on overclocking a CPU to a noticable level is more than the cost of a marginally faster one.

Back in the day it was worthwhile, today it really isn't very. To get a decent overclock on an athlon you'd need a freezer unit, and for the cost of those you could buy 5 AMD chips ;)
