We have an X'd out station that uses a time of day coverage path to route to an attendant during the day and voice mail at night. Just learned that for a few minutes (has happened on two different days) calls to the X'd out station were terminating at stations that have no association with the station or with the attendant console. The X'd out station is listed as a 7410D. The stations receiving the calls (one extension one day, another extension another day) are both 9630 IP phones. The outside calls have a priority ring and their caller id information displays. The person staffing the attendant console indicates that at this unusual call activity she perceived call volume to be normal and had not activated any features or stepped away from the work space. The IP stations are not part of any night services or really in any way associated the dialed number (X'd out station). The unusual call activity will last for only a few minutes and then things are back to 'normal'. We have a CM5.2 - calls are coming in on a PRI.
Any ideas or suggestions on what could be causing this anomoly would be greatly appreciated!

have you done a status station to see if the station was call forwarded to these other stations, also how are they calling the number? is it a did or a mail listed business telephone number?

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.

By the time I am notified and pull a status, the calls have stopped. (it happens for just a few minutes) So cannot say with certainty whether calls were forwarded. A call forwarded number typically would not be a priority call. I reviewed the attendant button assignments she does not have a priority button and putting the priority code before a call forward gets an intercept tone.
The number is a DID number.
