After setting up Outlook 2002 on a Win98se system the new mail notification will not work. I have to always hit the send/receive button to get new mail. Also when I send mail I get automatic responses that the mail has been sent and I have turned those features off. I am sure that I have all the correct settings in Outlook.

Under tools (menu), options, preference (tab), email options (button) there is a check box that indicates "Display a notification message when new mail arrives" (atleast in Outlook 2000) See if that is the problem. There is also a check box under the mail delivery tab that will "send messages immediatly when connected". Does this help? Dawn

To dawnd3 I would like to thank you for your input, but as I had stated, I was sure that my settings were ok and they were. I recently found out that if you are going through a nat router then this feature in Outlook 2002 does not work.
To dreamboat I would like to thank you also for the input and again I had that set correctly. This is not the same case when you are using Outlook 2000.
Thanks.
