Hello All,

I truly hope someone can give me some insight on why this may be happening. My Outlook XP is stand alone (connected to an ISP for email) and when I try to send to 2 or 3 people at the same time (sometimes even just one person) the email will not get to its recipient. It is truly a pain and I cannot figure out why it is doing it. I have tried changing the contact email thinking that maybe something got corrupt on import from the previous vers, I have tried sending test emails galore but to no avail. The issue is so random that it may work fine one time and then not work the next. I have even gone so far as to call my ISP to watch me send the emails and they said the email is actually coming in and going out to the recipient but once it goes past the ISP server it does not show up at its destination. Can anyone help?? PLEASE????

Does it ever bounce back? Any error messages? I suspect the smtp server you are using is flaky... But it could be something else.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

Matt,
a sincere thank you for your reply. Actually I have never had a sinlge response back other than delivery receipt notifications. The response I do get back mentions a "non-DNS-aware server" but I am not sure what that means. My Outlook is used direct via a network connection to my ISP. We have an Exchange server on our network here but it goes down so much I use my ISP direct through our network. This usually only happens when I am sending to people on our network (exchange server) but anyone else outside the network I don't believe I have a problem sending to.
Any ideas from this info?

PLEASE HELP??

My mother is having the same problem with Outlook Express on Windows XP. Sometimes her email will send, others the program will indicate the message has sent and yet the intended recipient never sees it. The message also doesn't show up in her sent items, it just disappears. She is a home user that connects directly to her ISP. They have suggested that she reinstall Outlook Express - although I have seen other posts where people have tried this and it hasn't helped...
