We created an image of a laptop using Ghost. The image included MS Outlook 2003
We did this~
1) We installed many applications, including MS Outlook 2003, on a brand new laptop (panasonic toughbook cf73).
2) We started the machine and logged in as a local admin. We started Outlook and ran its configuration wizard. We did not setup any users.
3) We took an image of it using Ghost V8.
4) We put the image on dozens of other laptops.
This occurred~
1) The users were able to use Outlook without a problem ONCE.
2) When they exited, the process outlook.exe continued to run! The Outlook symbol remained in the system tray!
3) Outlook will not restart.
4) You can terminate the process in the task manager, but the users do not understand this workaround.
Please advise.
