I'm running Win2K AD. I've got an Exchange 2003 Server running Outlook Web Access.
Some users can use the service without a problem, in fact, everyone with the exception of a department that has had 'Logon to' restrictions applied through the account tab in Active Directory Users and Computers can use the service.
Those who have been restricted are only allowed to log on to the computers that they use on a normal business day. If these access restrictions are lifted and the 'All Computers' option is set, they are able to use OWA without a problem.
I've tried adding the NETBIOS name of the Exchange server to the list of allowed computers, but this doesn't resolve the issue. I'm sort of stumped and we need to keep these users locked down for various reasons, but they also need to access mail via OWA.
Has anyone seen this before?

RESOLVED!!!

OK. I figured out what needs to be done for this situation.
Upon further inspection of the security logs of the OWA server, I discovered that the logon was being rejected as a result of the workstation that the user was logging on from.
After adding the NETBIOS name of their home machine, they were able to log on.
I hope that this helps someone!!!

That was a huge help, because I was having the same problem, but I don't think it's a viable solution because I'm not going to know every possible computer they will try to access their e-mail from. I have to think it through.
