Anyone know how to get the [Mailbox -] back in front? We've recently moved from exchange 2000 to an exchange 2003 cluster. Some people still have the [Mailbox - username] but some simply have [username]

All mail is working fine, etc. but we have a special folder in the folder list that is supposed to stay at the top. It starts with an H so anyone who's name starts with A-G their folder appears above it. When it said [Mailbox - username] they all started with M obviously so it was always below the other folder.

How did this happen? Any ideas?

Check the location of the DATA files in Outlook. IF [MAILBOX- <name>] is not shown, then most likely the mail is being store on the user's personal mailbox on their computer.

You can check the settings in two locations.

1. In Outlook - Tool -> Options -> Mail Setup (tab) -> Data Files

2. In the Control Panel -> Mail -> Data Files

Data Files shows a completely blank window, and I am certian that the mail is being stored on the server. What else could it be?

What happens if one of those users logs onto another PC and setup Outlook? If fine, you may just have to delete the user's outlook profile as well as the nt/2k/xp profile on the PC they normally use.

I tried this with someone who has a local profile as well as a roaming profile, and [Mailbox - ] still does not show up. In fact, I was wrong, [Mailbox - ] does not show up on anyone's outlook at all since the switch to the 2k3 cluster. Could a hotfix or service pack be the answer? My ESM version is 6.5.7226.0

Try going to the list of accounts:
Tools -> email accounts

You'll see your Microsoft Exchange account listed there. At the bottom of that window, check the delivery. You should see "Mailbox - <username>" listed in the drop down if you installed an Excnage account.

Nope, that too just has the username.

I'm assuming this has something to do with when we moved the mailboxes over from the old hardware/exchange 2000 to the new hardware/exchange 2003, but i have no idea what could have happened.
