I have a problem on a client machine,

if she replies to mail, it bounces back sometimes, the same address doesnt bounce back from other people, and she can send to the person if she creates a new mail.

I did a "test account settings" everything was ticked, except for the send test message, the error was something like "unknown reply email" ??

would appreciate any help on this, as Im quite stumped

Its not particulary difficult to work out what Im trying to say, I cant recreate the error message as the client is on holiday. if you have nothing helpful to post, then dont bother.

can anyone else suggest something please?

the error message was "unknown reply address" all other account tests work, just the send test messsage.

And yet you haven't supplied any usable info. What email program? What kind of account is it using (MAPI, POP3, IMAP, etc). What kind of email server is it connecting to?

With all due respect, if you can't supply the info we need to help you, don't be surprised if you don't get the help you need.

ok no worries...thanks

Outlook 2000, POP account, connecting direct to our hosted web server,

all other email accounts are fine, the client is using windows xp service pack 2,

all account settings tests pass, apart from the send test message, and says "please check reply email address"

Ive deleted the account , and re-added it, but I get the same error.

thanks.
