Outlook starts - windows installer runs every time

After upgrading Office 2000 to Office XP, every time I start Outlook, the Windows Installer program runs twice. Both times its appears to do nothing at all, generates no error message, and has no apparent ill effect other than wasting time.

How do I troubleshoot this?

Try updating office..... or reinstall the SP.
If it is the first run, then it can ask for the cd for finalising the installation (But it hink you knew that also)
I say, UPDATE for problems in install it is always handy to install the newest update or reinstallation of the latest SP
n my experience it has never failed me.....

I am assuming you are updating with an account that has Admin rights too, correct? I have seen this happen where it cannot finish the installation due to the fact that the user trying to upgrade does not have admin rights on their system.
