Outlook Security Update

Well After installing the latest and greatest security update for outlook (yeah right) I noticed to my horror that I can no longer recieve attchements (like zip/exe/bat/com files). Well I would like to see if anyone else has installed this and found a way to remove either the update (without unistalling office) or changeing the files types that it blockes.

That's more of the reason why the update hasn't been applied by many. I don't know of a fix, but to recommend reading the docs before applying any new freebies M$ releases.

I think uninstalling is the only way out of the update.

I subscribe to Woody's Office Watch and back in June, there was an article (warning) regarding the problem you describe.

Click on Office button and then click on the archives. The article is 5.27 and 5.28 from June of 2000. Kind of lengthy, but covers all the Office versions.

I read my WOW before I update and recommend it to anyone that uses/supports Office.

Yes this update does not allow you to receive any potentially harmful attachments and that is about all the attachments you get. Uninstall it from the control Panel, add/remove programs.
