I have many PC's in my office. All with Win XP Pro, Outlook 2003 running on Exchange 2003.

1 PC is having trouble that others are not.

a user wants to share a screenshot from some application with another user. they have that window active and hit [ALT]-[Print screen] to capture the image.

They open outlook, and create a new email and paste the screen shot in the body of the email. they send it to several users. 1 PC cannot see the image while the others can.

The setting looks the same on the various PCs.
The problem PC has a couple applications that may be unique to it so I mention them: OneNote 2007, iTunes. I can't see any other differences.

Any ideas on what I should check would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chuck

You might check the SP level of the recipient's Outlook. Also look for the 'read e-mail in plain text' setting (Something like that, I don't have Outlook 2K3 here). Alternatively, you could have the sender format the outgoing message as plain text, then the image should come through as an attachment.

We normally have our users paste the screenshot into a word document and send it as an attachment. Hasn't failed us yet.

Good Luck!

I do that myself (paste into word),

But it easier for them to just drop it into the email and works most of the time.

I was hoping I missed some setting or other.

I will try uninstalling OneNote on that PC and test it.

I may also uninstall iTunes in a separate test.

It sounds to me like the PC may be setup to receive emails as plain text, perhaps if you change to html it may work.

Or, instead of pasting into the email attach it.
