We rae experienceing rules and out of office rules stopping working after a few days. Just opening and closing them will reset them , but its causing huge problems. We initially suspect a behind the scenes timeout or a logoff, or permissions thing...any ideas??

Can you give some examples?

Are you having problems with all rules on many PC's or is this an isolated incident?

Are some rules overiding other rules?

Tell us everything you can think of that will help determine an answer.

We have about thirty five permanently off site users. They have pop3 mailboxes with a service provider. We have an exchange 2000 server here on site with thier accounts set permanently out of office. The rules to forward the mail work for a period of a few days to a few weeks, but then go into error. We supsect that what looks like a random efect is actually triggered by say a pasword timeout or similar
