Outlook refreshing new messages slow

I have multiple computers that have Outlook that isn't showing new mail in the inbox until you click on another email or folder and then the new messages show. I can look in OWA and they are there. I have set the check for new mail at 1 minute and still nothing better. The computers have 128MB and 256MB memory and are 1GHZ processors with XP so that shouldn't be any issue. They also have all the service packs for the software. ANy help or suggestions would be great.

I am having this same problem as well are you running exchange 2000. Only happens on Windows XP Clients with Outlook Xp.

I'm running exchange 2000. The problem was that I had a firewall running which was blocking udp traffic. I found the answer in the Exchange forum on the Microsoft web site. I can't remember or find the original article. Hope this helps.
