I lost my exchange server and had to rebuilt it. But now my client PC's outlook programs are in Recovery Mode. I have reterived all my email and moved it onto the new server. How do I get it out of Recovery mode.

When frustrated remember, in the computer world there is almost always a backdoor.

Beowulf005,

I had a similar problem to you, but we were upgrading to new os. The only way round this is to recreate a new account for the user and transfer the emails.

if you find another way round this please let me know.

You can try the following. It may save you having to create a new accoaunt. It worked for us when we had to rebuild our 5.5 exchange server. We were using OL2K.

1. Open "Mail" in control panel. This will show your profile.
2. Click on "Properties". This will give you your profile properties.
3. Click on "Properties" again.
4. Retype the Exchange Server name.
5. Retype the Mailbox name and click on "check name".
6. OK out and then click close to exit.

Cheers.
