Outlook print issue 1

Hello,

A few users are having issues printing from outlook where if they select File/print it slowly comes back with the message 'Unable to save the print settings'. However, when they use the actual printer icon, it prints fine.
I have recreated the users outlook profile with no luck and can't find anything in techneck.
Anyone have any ideas please?

Mark,

Try this:

Close Outlook.
Create a Word document and name it Outlprnt.doc.
Save the file in the Application Data folder.
Start Outlook and try to print.

Occasionally you have to restart Outlook twice for this to work.

If you still get the message after doing this, let me know and I'll try to dig out a registry hack that fixes the problem.

I'll be trying this as soon as my user is available.

Made a schoolboy error and forgot to mention this is Outlook 98, should that make a difference for this fix?

This works for all versions of Outlook so you should be fine
