hi when a user is logging on to a win98 pc and trying to open outlook they get the error message unable to open your default folders. you do not have the permission to log on
please help
This might sound a bit basic but can you check in Start - settings - control panel - mail - and make sure the Exchange server option is added under services. If so double click it and make sure the server & mailbox name is correct. If not amend and log into Outlook again.
hi i noticed that in the controlpanel-mail section the exchange server is correct but the mailbox is a default (is there a way i can set this to work on a roaming profile basis where who ever logs on will appear in the mailbox)
got some more info,
the two pc are running win98 and were set up for 2 users, however when another user logs onto the any of the pc's in
control panel>mail>microsoft exchange server profile
the mailbox name is default to the orginal users
