Why am I receiving messages encoded with US ASCII and I cannot read them. I can see who they are from but the message subject and body are totally blank.

These messages only come from certain users in my organisation but I know that other people can read the same messages. When the same message is viewed on someone elses PC with outlook the message appears as "message plain text".

This is very frustrating and any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Kenny

The format of the Outlook messages is controlled by the client user's settings. There are 3 formats: HTML, Rich Text and ASCII.

Try having one of your people who are experiencing this problem change THEIR setting to the same as you via: Tools | Options | Mail Format, then selecting a different option for the "Send in this Message Format" option, and see if when he opens YOUR message that it appears as desired.
