Hi,

I have a problem with Outlook 2007 where when I click send and receive, it may say receving 5 new emails, but only 2 will be visible in the inbox. If I goto "View - Current View - Unread messages" then I will see al five. But if I goto "view - Current View - Messages or Messages with preview" Then some of the emails will be hidden?

Also if I search for the email it will find it in the inbox. But none of the sorting fields at the head will show it in normal view??

I have tried to use a outlook command, /cleanviews, and also reinstalled outlook, and also used scanpst. But nothing has worked so far. The view of messages is damaged some how?

Can any one please suggest anything?

Thanks

I have noticed some view settings are kept on the server copy of the mailbox when you use Exchange 2007. I have noticed that somehow or another a filter can get set up and prevent you from seeing those messages.

I have had folks with the same problem and we go into the View>Current View>Customize Current View and see that the Filter section has something set in there. Get that set to none and you should be ok again.

Hi,

Thanks for the information. It is a pop account that I am using to connect to get the email.

I tried to clear the filters for the current view, but it did not make a difference.

Its strange, I have about 30 new emails today, and if I go to View - Current View - Messages, I can only see 8. But if I go current view - unread messages in this folder, then I can see all of the. So they are there in the same folder, just that the messages view isn't working??

Having similar problems, but so far, no solution.
