Outlook losing settings

Does anyone know what error would cause Outlook XP to not be able to save its settings and constantly revert back to default?

I have rebuilt the Outlook profile, the XP profile and also checked against an application we have that is causing problems. None of them resolve the issue. After a few days it goes back to losing settings.

I have not seen anything on the MS KB, so I thought I would ask here.
