Outlook is making things sort of "faux bold"

Hello,

Outlook worked fine yesterday but today it's making my text sort of bold. When I actually put the text on bold, it's even bolder. But when I sent the email to someone else and they read it, the text comes up just italic size 12 Georgia font like it should - not bold at all. I am using Word 2003 as the email editor and Outlook 2003 as the mail client. Also, when I open Word by itself and use Georgia 12pt italic, it does not look bold like it does in Outlook. It just seems to happen when I create a new message. I am not using any themes, any styles, or auto-formatting. When I decrease the font size to 10 it doesn't look bold anymore. Also, when it's size 12 and does look bold, it seems to be smoothed out. Georgia in bold at size 12 is sort of blocky in Word 2003 but in Outlook it looks smooth and clear. The font also seems to be stretched a little. I checked my settings and the scale is at 100% so that's not the problem either. I am all out of ideas on this one.

Anyone?
