Outlook giving "Operation Failed" error on opening attachments

I think I'm in the right forum but if not just let me know. I'm getting an operation failed message when I try to re-open attachments in Outlook 2003. If I open them once then the next time it will give me the error message. If I delete all the OLK files that works one time and I get the error message if I try to re-open. I've tried to research this but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance!

I'm clutching at straws, but what are the effective file permissions on the OLK area? I could imagine that happening if you have permissions to Create or Delete a file, but not to Amend (overwrite) a file.

I don't think its a permissions issue because we all have Full Control permissions on the local machines for files. That's why I'm banging my head on this one.

Well thanks for the sympathy! We'll probably just do a re-image since that's the fixall for everything. I'll let you know if I figure something out. I doubt it though because I have a really bad headache now.
